About NCS

The Nashville Chamber Singers was founded in the fall of 1996 to provide outstanding performance opportunities for distinguished community vocalists in the Middle Tennessee area. Now in its thirteenth season, the group has developed a notable reputation in the performance of a varied repertoire of sacred and secular works. The auditioned ensemble, which has been heralded as a "sophisticated delight" by the Nashville Scene, consists of twenty-eight of Middle Tennessee’s most talented vocalists. Many of the group’s members are highly regarded as both studio and church musicians in the area, and its ranks include several music educators as well as musicians who earn their living in non-musical professions. Under the leadership of founding director Angela Tipps, the Singers merge decades of musical experience to produce a choral sound that is arguably Nashville’s best.

Nashville Chamber Singers is a 501(c)(3) organization and welcomes your tax-deductible contribution.

Angela Tipps, Musical Director, is the Organist and Director of Music at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro, and adjunct organ instructor at Middle Tennessee State University.
